PAPA ROACH: Done With Pre-Production, Prepare To Record

September 30, 2003

PAPA ROACH have almost finished pre-production on their new album, tentatively titled "Dancing In The Ashes". The group have been working with producer Howard Benson (COLD, BLINDSIDE, P.O.D.) for two weeks, making adjustments to some 15+ songs the group have written at both home and on the bus during last year's Lovehatetragedy tour. Video footage of the sessions has been posted online at the group's web site. Check it out: High, Low (Quicktime format). PAPA ROACH expect to begin recording the follow-up to 2002's "Lovehatetragedy" shortly for an early 2004 release through Dreamworks Records.

In other news, PAPA ROACH bassist Tobin Esperance will appear in the upcoming film "Sueno" alongside John Leguizamo, Elizabeth Pena and Lupe Ontivero.

The movie will tell the tale of Antonio, a very talented young musician from Mexico, pursuing his dream of becoming a singer in Los Angeles. Tobin will play a bass player in Leguizamo's band and will have some speaking lines.

The film is set to begin production on October 1. No release date has yet been set.
